I help you take care of yourself with as much energy and compassion as you give everyone else

In nursing school we learned how to take care of everyone else. Coordinating care, IVs, reading labs, dressing changes, bed baths…But our nursing programs left out one super important unit: taking care of ourselves!

Caring for others is a deeply rewarding job that fires-up our nurturing personality types. But, caring deeply for others without also filling up your own resources has its dark side.

More than ever caregivers are reporting high rates of compassion fatigue and burnout. We are feeling anxiety, depression, fatigue, GI issues, and sleep problems. Our nursing school programs didn’t give us the heads’ up that “hey, you are going to be in many situations that leave your nervous system buzzing.”

Over time if you neglect your self-care, your body and brain will start to say “peace out! We are exhausted.”

I created This One Life Coaching (TOLC) to help you, dear caregiver, find time in your busy days to love on yourself, as well as everyone else. TOLC will share the goods on:

-Feeling better when you’ve experienced years of stress at work and home

-How learning to cope with stress is the foundational step to improving your physical and mental health

-The link between the nervous system and the gut, and how if affects your mood

-How your thoughts affect your emotional health & how you react to your kids, work, family etc

-Improving sleep to finally feel better!

Services

I offer two private coaching services where we work together to create your own Energized and Peaceful Pathway.

Your pathway will give you confidence in the first steps to take to start feeling better in your body and mind. You will begin to experience moments of stillness, to relax, to reframe the “gremlins” and narratives in your head, and to feel more grounded at work.

My story

I went into nursing at the baby age of 22. On my first shift my patient passed away. I was absolutely not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster of being a nurse. Then, after I had my 3 babies I somehow just forgot to take care of myself. I was busy wiping bottoms at home and wiping bottoms at work. I wasn’t taking care of my body and I certainly wasn’t taking care of my thoughts.

In 2021, at the height of my anxiety and sleepless nights I heard about the benefits of health coaching on a podcast. I was immediately sucked into the lifestyle changes I could control for my own health. I enrolled in health coaching school, worked with a coach, and learned how to better manage my stress. Now, I am on a mission to help other cargivers improve their physical and mental health through lifestyle changes.
